Spotted - 2014 Jaguar F-Type

Spotted a couple of examples of the 2014 Jaguar sport car, the F-Type on the pits area at the Portland International Raceway. I have to say the front and side are just beautiful but I am not so sure about the styling of the rear panel. Neither the rear facia nor the lights do much for me.

Spotted - Rolls Royce Silver Shadow

Spotted this Rolls Royce Silver Shadow while visiting the Alhambra the other day. A beautiful example and a perfect color for this setting.

Spotted - 1969 AC 428 by Frua

Beautiful Italian styling on an AC chassis with big block American V8 power. An awesome combination. One of only 51 AC 428 coupes produced between 1965 - 1973. Long legs, comfort, and effortless power. That is what great GT are all about.

Not exactly a car but more than a motorcycle. Another surprise we saw last Saturday at the weekly car gathering in Redmond Town Center. Looks like a lot of fun.

There were plenty of British cars at the Exotics at Redmond Town Center gathering this morning but this TVR 2500M caught my attention as it is pretty rare to see one around here.

So, I am out doing some sightseeing around Anacortes yesterday afternoon and come back to my car to find this beautiful 1963 Ford Cortina Mk 1 parked next to it. With the Lotus Cortina I posted about some time ago, that makes two sightings in the past year!

Spotted - 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Bertone Spider

One of nine cars built by Grupo Bertone. Lovely curves. This is my favorite angle of this design. Another great car of the Blackhawk Museum collection.

Sunbeam Harrington Le Mans

I caught up with this special Sunbeam Harrington Le Mans at the SOVREN Pacific Northwest Historics earlier this year. This rare grand tourer version of the Alpine (one of 250 produced) was built by Harrington coachworks between 1962-63.

Body is made of an unusual combination of metal and fiberglass 

2011 Mini Car Show at the Triple X Rootbeer Drive-in

I stopped by the Mini Car Show at the Triple X Rootbeer Drive-in this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find a great turnout of original Minis. Now, don't get me wrong there were plenty of late model Minis as well but the original Mini really caught my attention today. Pick-up trucks, racing cars, custom jobs, late model fuel-injected cars. A good slice of the history of the Mini was well represented today.

Spotted - 1949 MG TC

Best looking MG TC I have ever seen. Great to hear the proud owner about his experience with the car. Glad he decided to bring it to the Fenders on Front Street car show.

I had a chance to take a close look at a beautifully restored Lotus Cortina Mk1 earlier today. Ford Cortinas as just rare in the U.S. Coming across a Lotus Cortina, now that was just a special treat!
