Spotted this Fiat 500 Abarth the other day while at the races. First time I have seen one in the Pacific Northwest. With 160 HP on tap it looks like a fun ride...

1971 Fiat 500L

This 1971 500L represents the end of the line for the 500. It really looks small sitting next to it's contemporary incarnation.

Spotted - North American Fiat 500

Probably the best part of the all Italian Car Show this past Sunday was having a chance to take a close look at the North American version of the Fiat 500. I have seen a few of these while working in Europe but it was good to sit in one and check it out first hand. i like the nicely appointed and roomy (up-front) interior. Looks like a nice contender for the Mini although I still think that we need to do better than 38 MPG highway from a 1.4 liter engine.

2011 All Italian Car Show

The 2011 All Italian Car Show at the Triple X Rootbeer Drive-in was a bit of a washout today. A reminder that we just can't count on the weather around here. Too bad because last year's show was one of my personal favorites. A few interesting cars did showed up including a couple of cool Lancias, Alfas, Ferraris and Fiats. I will highlight a few of my favorites on future posts...

Spotted - Fiat 600 Multipla

I came across this beautifully restored Fiat 600 Multipla at a car show in Federal Way today. First time I have seen one "in the metal" so to speak. The owner has done a great job in bringing this beauty back from to like-new condition. Very Cool!
