Independently of it financial failure and environmental drawbacks, the Concorde was such a technological achievement. I was just a kid back in 1976 when I first had a chance to see a Concorde fly overhead. It would be another 27 years before I would have another chance to see one in the air. In 2003 the Museum of Flight was fortunate enough to secure Concorde G-BOAG for it's collection. I took the afternoon off just to get an opportunity to see another flyover and hear those Rolls Royce Olympus engines. It was truly a memorable day. These days "Alpha Golf" sits quietly in the Air Park along East Marginal Way. The definitive symbol of a by-gone era in luxury air travel.
