A Visit to the Auto Collection at the Imperial Palace

I stopped by the Auto Collection in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago to take a break from the over stimulation offered by the Strip. This place is an institution and if you are a gearhead you will find interesting machines covering the full range of the automotive spectrum. The light is not the best for photography and I only had my pocket camera in hand but here are some of my favorites.

One for every taste

1929 Cord L-29 Cabriolet with Woodlights. Most beautiful car pre-war classic on display IMHO.

1964 Rolls Silver Cloud III drophead coupe is a very classy ride.

1951 Talbot-Lago T-26 Grand Sport Coupe by Soutchik is a sculpture on wheels.

1949 Delahaye 135MS Selborne Roadster, another unique machine.

1954 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith by Vignale - an acquired taste to put it mildly.

1925 Rolls-Royce Barker Torpedo Tourer - this hunting car is way over the top.

The Frua-bodied Phantom VI always reminds me of Thunderbird's FAB 1.

Panhard Dyna Z - Nice example of a forgotten French marque.

The massive water pump in the 1925 Ahrens-Fox fire truck really stands out.

Love the expressive grill on this 1968 Peugeot 204.
